SonoMe wireless handheld ultrasound

SonoMe scanners are wireless handheld ultrasound devices from Bionet in Seoul (South Korea) – the same manufacturer that makes our ECG devices and fetal monitors. The transducer transmits the image via Wi-Fi to a free app on a smartphone or tablet; a separate ultrasound system is not required.

The SonoMe H5C10L combines a convex and a linear probe in one device, the SonoMe H5C is a convex scanner, and the SonoMe H10L and 14L are linear scanners for superficial structures. Weighing 200 to 250 g, every model fits easily into a coat pocket.

This makes SonoMe suitable for point of care, emergency medicine, home visits and care homes, and as a supplementary device in the practice. Many models are also available in a veterinary version.

A concrete benefit: colour, power and PW Doppler are available directly in the app, for example for vascular access. Depending on the model, the battery lasts 2.5 to 5 hours, and Bionet Europe GmbH in Berlin provides a manufacturer contact within Europe.

Typical applications

  • Point of care & emergency
  • Home visits & care facilities
