Voluson is GE HealthCare's ultrasound series for women's health. Its roots lie with Kretztechnik in Zipf, Austria, where one of the first commercial 3D ultrasound systems was presented in 1989. To this day, Voluson is particularly associated with 3D/4D imaging in gynaecology and obstetrics.
GE HealthCare currently divides the family into the Voluson Expert, Signature, Performance and SWIFT series. Proven models such as the Voluson E8, E10, S8 and S10 Expert remain in demand as pre-owned systems, depending on configuration with HDlive, which renders volume data using a freely positionable virtual light source.
Whether you are equipping a new gynaecology practice or need high-end prenatal imaging: we advise you on model, year of manufacture, software and probes – such as volume, transvaginal or convex probes – and on request compare alternatives from other manufacturers.
A concrete everyday benefit: stored volume data can be analysed retrospectively in any plane, for example with OmniView or VCI. Depending on the model, SonoAVC supports automatic follicle counting in fertility treatment, shortening repetitive measurements.
